Drinking fresh celery juice has become a popular diet very soon. Our patients also ask us about it, about the possible gains and why it “works.” Via Anthony Williams’ book Medical Medium, the celery juice trend gained attention. Williams suggests that when celery juice is consumed alone, celery has regenerative and medicinal effects that are enhanced.
We have got several questions asking us if autoimmune conditions can be healed by celery juice. Possibly not the answer. However, without the possibility of adverse side effects, it may have several minor beneficial improvements, so it might be worth trying.
I wanted to drink celery juice daily for a month in order to get firsthand tips.
There are some assumed advantages of drinking celestial punishment.
Celery has strong antioxidant properties for the body’s reduction of free radicals. It will, thus, theoretically reduce the risk of cancer. The phytonutrient content of celery juice allows our body to resist the degradation of the DNA of our body cells by free radicals. Furthermore, two compounds in celery, polyacetylene and luteolin, ensure the anti-inflammatory effects of celery extract.
Regularly consuming celery juice may help avoid coronary disease, jaundice, liver disease, obstruction of the urinary tract, gout, and rheumatic diseases.
To lower blood sugar levels, blood lipids, and blood pressure, celery juice has been promoted. An extract produced from celery seeds altered their glucose and insulin levels, boosted their weight and enhanced their antioxidant enzyme activity in a study on diabetic rats. In another study, celery leaf extract was used in animals with elevated blood pressure or high blood pressure to decrease blood pressure , cholesterol, and triglycerides.
Natural salt is abundant in celery juice, which will help you consume the nutrients from the food you consume the remainder of the day. The enzymes in celery are often believed to improve the hydrochloric acid in the intestine, making the meal simpler to eat and avoiding fermentation. The salts in celery juice will also improve the capacity of our liver to produce bile and reinforce it. In breaking down fats and extracting waste from our bodies, strong bile is necessary. As a consequence, consuming celery juice will stimulate bile secretion, which can help lower levels of cholesterol.
Celery juice is claimed to enhance the functioning of the digestive tract. It acts as a natural laxative which can also help to calm nerves that are often weakened by poor eating habits and lifestyles.
Consuming celery juice will also reinforce the muscles, since celery is rich in calcium, silicon, and vitamin K. Its high content of magnesium can benefit people suffering from insomnia as well.
Since celery juice is very low in calories and not very filling, it will help to decrease the overall consumption of calories for the day, thus helping to lose weight.
Celery juice is also suggested to have profound advantages for the protection of the skin. Celery is rich in electrolytes and water, so it can promote optimal hydration. In celery, the antioxidants will help cleanse and make our skin smoother. It is also rich in vitamins that help create collagen for our bodies and can also also make the skin appear younger. In the management of skin disorders including psoriasis, celery seeds have also been used. Drinking celery juice daily can also lead to good hair growth.
Celery is, last but not least, very high in micronutrients. It’s filled with vitamin K, vitamin C, potassium, folic acid, manganese, calcium , magnesium, riboflavin, and vitamin B6-all the foods that our bodies need to deal with. Unfortunately , many people do not have these foods in their diets; thus, it will help to have nutrients that are lacking from the regular American diet to eat celery juice everyday.
With this in mind, it is important to point out that there have not yet been any clinical studies or large-scale human studies testing the effects of celery juice in the treatment / treatment of chronic diseases.
My intention was to drink 16 ounces of fresh celery juice every single day on an empty stomach.
It takes about 1 entire celery core / celery stick to make 16 ounces of celery juice. Using organic celery is really essential as well! Conventionally grown celery is contaminated with pesticides, and the protocol for celery juice requires that you consume plenty of celery, so it is very important to use organic celery especially for this purpose.
I would take my juicer out every morning, wash the celery and make sure that all extra residue has been eliminated, cut the end of the celery, and then place it in the juicer.
Then I put the light green celery juice in a large glass and added a couple of ice cubes (cold celery juice tastes much better than room temperature). In the beginning I added some fresh lemon juice because I found it tasted much better, but towards the end of the month I found that I was really enjoying the taste of plain celery juice! That was surprising. You can also add a small amount of fresh ginger to the juicer to change the taste if you want.
If you don’t have a juicer, don’t worry. You can use a powerful blender to make celery juice. Just cut open the celery and add it to the blender with some water. Puree the juice until smooth. Then use a cheesecloth or nut milk bag over a large bowl and pour the pureed celery into the nut milk bag. Squeeze as much juice into the bowl as you can and let it finish!
WHAT I HAVE EXPERIENCED
Overall, while I haven’t experienced any profound benefits from consuming celery juice, I’ve seen some improvements. For one thing, my digestion seemed almost perfect. Although I don’t usually have much of a problem, I actually felt better than normal. In addition, drinking celery juice also helped me curb my appetite: when I drink a refreshing liquid that moisturizes in the morning, it seemed to fill me up for a while. I found that I also felt less cravings throughout the day. In addition to digestion and appetite, I also found that I had more energy and focus in the morning than usual. I also train in the morning and found that I had more stamina in both cardiovascular and strength training.
Some of the other benefits of celery juice – like preventing cancer and other chronic diseases – couldn’t be assessed after 30 days. Still, I am confident that the intake of antioxidants, phytonutrients, vitamins, and minerals has set my body up for success.
All in all, at the end of the 30 days, I enjoyed myself and was even looking forward to my green morning drink. I plan to keep drinking celery juice almost every day, even if I will skip a few – it takes a while to clean the juicer in the morning!
Drinking celery juice seems like a realistic habit to start and maintain. While I still don’t believe that celery juice can cure disease, it could help alleviate some of the symptoms. Drinking celery juice can also help prevent chronic illness, as it is a great way to make sure you are getting adequate amounts of micronutrients.
Overall, drinking celery juice as part of a healthy diet and lifestyle can help you achieve and / or maintain your goals.
