When is the best time to drink green tea for weight loss?

Rich in antioxidants, tea is excellent for your health: to preserve your organism, but above all to take pleasure, you can use 1 to 3 cups a day without any worries. However, even though it is much less exciting than coffee, tea can also have energizing properties, which leads some tea lovers to deprive themselves of it once evening comes. At what time of day can you drink your tea? Should it really be avoided before bedtime?

TEA TO GET THE DAY OFF TO A GOOD START!

Tea stimulates you to start the day well: unlike coffee, which is known for its “whiplash” effect, it provides a measured and lasting energy boost.  It is easier to avoid the famous 10-hour fatigue by drinking tea for breakfast.
Ideally, black tea should be drunk at this time of day. If you hesitate between all the existing flavours, try our essential “English Breakfast”, mixing several different varieties of black tea (notably Ceylon and Darjeeling). And to prepare it like our British neighbours, add a splash of milk!

GREEN TEA, IDEAL BEFORE OR AFTER MEALS

About twenty minutes after the meal, let your green tea brew, then enjoy it quietly. It is an excellent practice to detoxify the body and facilitate the digestion of all the elements ingested. This practice is particularly recommended as part of a diet or dietary rebalancing, combined with varied, balanced and controlled nutritional intake!
Before a meal, green tea has another virtue: it optimizes the absorption of various nutrients such as magnesium, catechins or certain vitamins. On the other hand, people with anaemia are advised to be careful with their tea consumption, as it makes iron assimilation more complex – do not hesitate to seek the advice of a doctor.
Of course, the most important rule about drinking tea is to enjoy it: feel free to enjoy it at the time of day when you feel like it the most! For example, some people love a tea snack, while others like to drink one in the middle of the morning, to avoid fatigue… Anything is possible!

CAN WE DRINK TEA BEFORE GOING TO SLEEP?

Green tea contains theine, which can be compared to caffeine, although the effects and doses are not similar. Concretely, without going into details, tea can complicate falling asleep. Therefore, we recommend stopping drinking it at least 4 hours before bedtime.
